“Once in a lifetime” – A POV on Feels Like Home

Slide1

When was the last time you actually engaged in the thought that you needed somebody in your life? When was the last time you did something for someone that felt so great? When was the last time you felt good about doing something that you never thought you could? When was the last time you listened to what your heart really feels? When was the last time you realized how important every minute of your life is?  I’ll leave all these questions to you.

I don’t even know how to start this blog about what I just finished reading from Wattpad. It’s actually my first time to write about what I read and give my POV.  I saw a tweet from my cousin @lindseyuritz at 1:03 AM of June 8, 2016, here it goes:

LY1

When it comes to fanfic she is my go-to person. We always share the stories we read, we even exchange opinions and we both enjoy our fangirling experiences together or apart. Twitter and Wattpad are our happy place and of course, RJ and Maine  are our happy pills.

So I tweeted her and said, Uy bago? and she replied : “just finished reading it now straight for almost 2 hours, ksma na singhot haha! Dko mtgil eh, it’s really good!” and I responded, “two hours ahh chapter 1 pa lang ako mamaya ko na lang kaya basahin baka di na ako makatulog.”

As I was reading  chapter 1 and still waiting na dalawin ako ng antok, coming from her, I know this is something really worth my time so I decided to continue reading, and true enough I can’t seem to force myself to stop reading the next chapter, and another one and another. When I reached chapter 8 I knew I have to get something so I went up from my bed grabbed a glass of water and got a box of kleenex, I knew all along I would be needing it; and I was right.

When it comes to family matters, friends, loved ones and romantic relationships- I always get emotional, I’m a self-confessed mababaw ang luha- iyakin sabi nga nila and a hopeless romantic. Even if it isn’t my story; even if it’s just a fiction – a movie, a soap, or a story that I read, surely I would cry, as to many tears that I can’t tell.

There comes a point in our lives, though we can’t totally understand from where the writers are coming from, we tend to feel the emotions they convey. I must say, the writer of Feels Like Home has an effective way of expressing her thoughts. She really delivered, and her style is something that many can somehow relate to – just like the other amazing writers from ADN that I admire. They all deserve to be appreciated even once in a while.

As I continued reading the remaining chapters I had felt all sorts of emotions; as if I was in the shoe of Maine or Richard and the other characters in the story. And by this time I can no longer contain my tears, so I just let it all out. I felt the emptiness, the anger, the discomfort, the betrayal, the longing and more so I felt their pain, their struggle as well as their aspiration for her to come back to life no matter how helpless they may be. I felt the genuine love, their immense happiness and renewed faith.

Being  alive  is something we usually don’t notice as an everyday miracle. Not until we realize that we could only be given a few more days to live. We see relationships as just part of our everyday lives not knowing how it could make or break us. Whenever we detach ourselves to what is real; when we choose to live a life away from our fears; when we turn our backs to our old selves; when we believe that we don’t need anyone, we actually forget how to truly live.

This story reminded me to not live a life full of regrets, what ifs and buts. It made me realize that we all have to cherish every moment, every memory and always try to make a good one. To forget about pride and insecurities, to learn to accept, move on and to forgive. To not lose hope and to love again. FLH also reminds us to believe that God has a hand in everything. He always has better plans, better than what we have dreamed of. He knows when to tap our shoulders to remind us that we are loved. He lets us know that we are not forgotten and we just need to have faith in Him and believe.

TRUST – a big word that not everyone knows how to give and not everyone deserves to be given but this story shown us that in life we need to trust God, others and our own selves.

FLH2

Feels Like Home is not just a nice story. It is a heartfelt, well-written, and not a typical story that I am fortunate I came across and took time to read. I hope this is not the last story you’ll write ItchyWittyFingers ( on twitter). Many of us are looking forward to read your works again. Thank you for sharing your talent. You are awe-inspiring!

Kudos to you and to all the other writers from ALDUB and MAICHARD Nation.                                I am so proud of all of you. Though some may not feel appreciated or noticed,                       always remember there is at least one who does. That’s me.

P.S. Don’t hesitate to read it. Don’t forget to bring a glass of water and a hanky, tissue or towel if you have to and for more pleasant reading experience you can log on to Spotify, search for Love Affair (A Music from the Motion Picture Soundtrack) playlist and put on loop the song Journey of Love. Enjoy reading everyone. Let’s all be happy and share love.

My Heart’s Silent Wish

Just want to share a poem I wrote last June 2007 and it was from my Friendster Account.

want

Loving him was a feeling that made me feel alive

Though he was the one who broke my heart

Someone told me that I am no longer sane

For I have loved him who left me nothing but pain

Loving him was a feeling that made me happy

Being in love with him really drove me crazy

Whenever he was around there’s nothing I can’t do

Because I was afraid that he might leave me too

Why do I have to lie and can’t admit to myself?

That he’s no longer mine and he’s happy with somebody else?

Why, even though I have shed so many tears?

Still I can’t forget the memories we’ve shared through the years?

How I wish I can find a man who will love and take me as his own

How I wish God will bless me with the man who’ll never leave me alone

How I wish this time I’ll be better with the man God will provide

How I wish I’ll end up with the man whom I’ll spend the rest of my life

But then again, I cannot control where fate would lead me

I’m just a woman who dreams of being happy and be loved by somebody

Somebody who can be my best friend, my life partner and my lover

Who will make me feel special, will cherish and will love me forever

How I wish that somebody could be you

How I wish that you won’t hurt me too

How I wish that God thinks of me when He made you

How I wish that God will give me you.

To My Sisters – not by blood but by heart!

Just to let you know how grateful I am having you as my unbiological sister.

Can you imagine how life would have been if our paths never crossed? Ever thought how we seem to understand each other’s feelings simply by just being there?  Can you still remember the day when we first met? Or the first words we said?

P.S. All I can think of is the moment and the feeling of joy that I had in my heart                   I forgot the date and time 🙂 memory gap’s working big time.

Ironic isn’t it? How could we manage to be this close with just the number of years that we became friends? *I believe time is not the essence of it. What matters is we value the friendship we share and we keep it  burning in each other’s hearts.

Life gives us opportunities to be better, to be someone else, to be what we wanted. But with me, you are one of them who made me realize that there is more to what life offers. You made me see the beauty in me; you made me feel that I am so blessed and special in my own little ways.

Even though I have said these words a lot of times, I will never get tired of letting you know how you’ve touched my life in so many ways. How you made me feel that I can be a woman sometimes I never thought I could be. For always believing in my talents and for encouraging me to explore more and push me to the limits. For joining me in my moments of happiness and for cheering me up whenever I have a lonely day. For understanding my weaknesses and for always backing me up and be my strength. For spending undeniably fun and unforgettable moments with me. For always trying to bring out the best in me.   For loving me unconditionally; for trusting me and  for just being an inspiration to me. Lastly, thank you for accepting the old ME and for embracing the new ME.

Thanks for sharing this journey of friendship with me and I am far more willing to enjoy this journey with you as we grow older. I really enjoy the sisterhood that  we have right now that adds spice to our multi-colored life!

My Heartfelt Love and Warmest Gratitude will be with you forever.

#MayForever – Oo, Naniniwala Ako Sa Forever!

Just my thoughts about Valentine’s Day, LOVE and FOREVER!

Whenever people are asking me if I believe in forever, I always say YES, without a single doubt. YES!  I do believe in forever and in the unexplainable power of love. I believe in destiny, serendipity, magic, miracle and all the other words you could probably relate to love. True love, great love, first love, selfless love, genuine love, puppy love, pure love, platonic love, romantic love, love at first sight, or whatever you call it; the main word is LOVE! Love speaks in different languages, it can be expressed in so various forms but one thing is for sure, the main reason why we all exist in this world is LOVE! Just like what the song says, “All we need is LOVE”.

Since it’s the day of hearts I know you would see various posts on different social media platforms like FB, Twitter, IG and Tumbler about love. It could be an expression of love from a husband to his wife; a love from a groom to his bridegroom; a profession of love from suitor to the girl he has been courting; a love from parents to their children, or just a love from fans to their idols and inspirations. On the other hand there’s also a chance for you to come across posts about bitterness with regard to love. Those brokenhearted and betrayed people choose not to appreciate the significance of this day. They treat this day just like any other ordinary day, and most of them believe that this too shall pass.

I can’t say that I have already experienced how this day should be celebrated and I never said that I haven’t celebrated it all along; but there’s no right or wrong way on how to do it. As long as you have so much love in your heart that you could share with others like your family, friends, relatives, loved ones, partners, better half or to God you can celebrate this day with joy and happiness in your heart.

Everyone deserves to love and be loved. Worry not and fear no more; fill your heart with love and appreciation not with hatred and anger. Don’t be bitter; it won’t do you any good. Always keep a silent prayer in your heart that eventually your dream will come to reality where you will be looking forward to spend Valentine’s day with somebody who loves you too. The one that God has made for you.

As for now, though I still don’t have the love of my life yet; I can still say that I am happy! I am happy to see people who are in love. As a Wedding Planner, I have the chance to plan the weddings of my GEMBSO couples who have different beautiful love stories to share. As a fan of Alden and Maine, I am privilege to see how serendipity found its way to their hearts and how their love has grown and transformed from AlDub to MaiChard, truly one of the greatest stories ever told right in front of AlDub and MaiChard Nations’ eyes. Lastly, as a daughter, I have been a living witness on how my parents have shown that true love and forever do exist.

Happy Valentine’s day everyone! Don’t let this day pass without saying I love you or mahal kita to the ones you love.

Make each day a Valentine’s day!

Team CoreeNell #PaandarWedding

One Amazing Team! If you do it with Love nothing will go wrong. Just give your full trust to your chosen suppliers and they will not fail you!

I was so excited when I found out that my sister, Coreene and Nell, now my brother-in-law have already decided to get married, it was December of 2014. Since I pretty much know them, I already have envisioned how it would be like on their wedding day. As the Wedding Planner, I exactly knew who the right people to call and trust. I knew who would be the perfect partners for their special day. And I was right! We actually made the right choices. We got the best team suitable to us. The team who can carefully take care of the couples’  needs, likes and wants. The team that is dependable, reliable, admirable, passionate, dedicated, and committed. A team of experienced wedding suppliers that has a reputable name; synonymous to the kind of product and services that they have been providing through the years.

This team made sure that every little detail, the nitty-gritty ones will be taken into consideration; that everything will be handled accordingly based on how we planned it. Though this couple is one of the most unique ones and easy to work with, they surely have some expectations in their minds that we all gladly exceeded.

If you are going to ask Coreene what she wants, she would just say “Simple lang, basta may Pink, Ok na ako dun!, Kung ano sa tingin n’yo ang maganda, masaya na ako dun! Madali naman ako kausap, basta may pink at may hearts!” She just wants to have simple, memorable and happy wedding and have it witnessed and celebrated by people who matters to both of them and their families.

For us wedding supplier one of the hardest word to define is the word ‘simple’. Everyone has a different point of view or perception of the word. I know most suppliers would agree with me. Simple could mean a lot, it depends on how you describe it.

Coreene and Nell’s wedding had been a mind-boggling and nerve-wracking challenge to most of their wedding partners especially to their florist/event stylist – Willy Tongco of Fioridella and their Couturier – Adam Balasa of Adam Balasa Couture. When they asked Coreene and Nell about what they wanted the answer was

“IKAW NA BAHALA!, Ikaw ang mas nakakaalam ng maganda! Ikaw ang magaling dyan, Kaya mo na yan!” WE TRUST YOU! Wala akong pegs basta may pink masaya na ako dun. “

Willy Tongco, my friend, thank you for being so kind and for accommodating our requests. You did not just wow everyone with your set up and paandar, you have exceeded our expectations. Ikaw na talaga Willy, kaya naman sabi nga ni Coreene, matagal ka na n’ya gustong isako kasi wala kang ginagawang hindi maganda. You are very creative, iba ka talaga! Salamat at #NaWillyTongco kami. You are truly #BatangasFinestFlorist Thanks to your team, Ate Jhec, Cesar, Jorge, Nonoy and Dennis of Fioridella flower shop.

We put our full trust in you and you delivered, you never fail to amaze us. You made us all look great on our gowns the mothers and the rest of the entourage. You have made Coreene the prettiest on her wedding day. You have enhanced what she already has and showcased her assets and hid her flaws. Amazing ka! Good thing she was able to give justice to the very elegant and timeless gown you have made for her. She was in love with her wedding gown and everyone was asking who was she wearing. She is so happy and proud to say, we are all wearing Adam Balasa! #BatangasFinestCouturier Thanks to Jinn Ross and Myri for the assistance too!

Georgia, thank you for making my sister the most beautiful bride on her wedding day iba talaga pag #Georgiafied lakas maka-feeling celebrity. Special thanks to JR Medrano, Pauline Prieto and Rubi Sarmiento for taking care of the girls’ hair and make up. Ang saya lang pag kayo ang kasama. Chillax lang. We love it!

For their cake, Myra & Lea of Nanay Aveling’s asked them the same question and they just said we just want it to be simple with hearts design in shades of white and pink. They just made a very beautiful cake perfect for the couple; and to our surprise when they sliced it the color of the cake was pink too. So sweet and so cute! I know nahirapan din kayo sa challenge ni Coreene. Thank you talaga!

For their invitations, they just wanted it simple and classy with touches of white and pink.  Anna and Nikki, eagerly assisted us in choosing the perfect invitation and they made it just the way the couple wanted it.  While Dennise and Josie of Design Plus assisted us with other printed stuff and Rizah of Paper Creations took care of the Misalettes. I can really depend on all of you basta usapang papel, prints, invites, envelops atbp. Kayo number 1 sa akin!

The Souvenirs for the guests were given by the MK Family (Kuya AJ, Ate Maricel & Baby MK) while the souvenirs for the principal sponsors were made with love by Coreene with  the help of Tito Jed and Jovel.

With regard to lights and sounds, we can never go wrong with RM Lights and Sounds.  Tito Ray Mayo, Jobert, Alvin and Jeff of Team RM made sure that the mood lighting, special effects, musical scoring and audio will be just right for the program. Again kayo pa rin ang favourite lights and sounds supplier ko. You are indeed one of the best and may malasakit sa program at sa katrabaho. Mabuhay kayo!

When it comes to music Totally Mesmerized is our most trusted partner in providing awesome and pleasing entertainment to our guests.

This team will always be family to us and to GEMBSO. Shout out to Tiffany, Diane, Jun, Billy, Richard and Tito Joel for serenading our guests. We all enjoyed listening to you. You totally mesmerized everyone. The couple chose Nice Print to tell the story of their wedding day. They were the ones to whom Coreene and Nell have entrusted the most significant milestone in their lives as one. We handpicked the members of the team to cover; it was led by Hazel Santillan Naval, Jeff and Emerson together with nine others. The onsite photo was awesome and the shots were beautiful the onsite video was great and heartfelt! Thank you Bien, Flor and Rhecy for the assistance and correspondence too.

Thanks to Tito Emie Rojas, from GEMBSO who drove the bridal car, to Ate Mathy for making sure that no one will be hungry. Thanks for the lunch you have prepared for the entire Team CoreeNell.

The Big Sister On Being Emotional

bigsister
you and me – sisters forever!

One week to go. Time flies so fast, I mean really fast! Wedding preps done! Just have to do the printing of docs. I am having whirlwind of emotions and I can’t even start writing my speech. Though speaking in front of many people is something that I have been doing for so many years as a host. I still can’t get enough of the tension that I am having right now. Why is it so hard to write something for someone really special to you? I can’t organize my thoughts, I just have to do it short but heartfelt. How can I sum up almost 30 years in just 1 or 2 paragraphs or a max of 3? What is dragging me, is the thought of me delivering my speech without even crying. Being “mababaw ang luha, baka di lang hanky ang kailangan ko.” I would probably need a glass of water and a box of Kleenex. I have to put that on my note to self! I have to brace my self that I can do it with grace without my make up being ruined.

Oh Majella, OO, ikaw nga! Umayos ka! Kaya mo yan!

Having just a glimpse of their big day essentials made me teary-eyed; can you imagine how it would be like on the actual day itself?

From the very start I know everything would turn out to be great. Every detail is exceptionally taken care of by some of the best partners I know. Having special people around you would make every single moment memorable. All the brilliant ideas that we were able pull and give life; the superb dedication and commitment that we put in this wedding and the outstanding performances that everyone will do are just few reasons for me to say that it is going to be awesome!

I’m excited. I’m nervous. I’m thrilled. But above all feelings that I have, I am happy and I am honored. This wedding is my baby and the couple who will be tying the knot will definitely be my favourite! Just as they claimed it.

To my other Gembso Couples don’t be jealous. They are just too special to me, we are a family.

An ALDUB Kind of LOVE! by Majella & GEMBSO

An Aldub Inspired Project that is meant to share LOVE and give HAPPINESS to soon-to-weds from ALDUB Nation.

ALDUBKIND OF LOVE6
AN ALDUB KIND OF LOVE PROJECT by MAJELLA & GEMBSO

How can you say that you are thankful and blessed? In life we all look at things differently. We see things, events and people depending on how we want it. But blessings come to us each and everyday, it can be in big or in small packages, there are also some that seem to be so hard to perceive or usually left unnoticed. I believe that everyday we are given equal opportunities to be a blessing. We just have to choose to be a blessing to others in any way we can and we’ll be doubly blessed.

I have learned the importance of sharing and being a blessing to others. Here are the seven ways on how one can become a blessing?

1. Learn to share what you have.                                                                                                    2. Give but don’t expect anything in return.
3. Think of other’s feelings, welfare and being.
4. Put others happiness first before your own.
5. Inspire others to be a blessing too.                                                                                        6. Always spread good vibes, love and happiness.                                                                       7. Pray for others and wish them well.

As a Wedding Planner, I always enjoy listening to my GEMBSO couples’ love story. There is always something new; something unusual that makes their story unique in its own way. I am amazed on how God has written their story and believe that there is really forever. Whenever I plan and host for weddings, I get inspired with the ways on how they met, how he asked the question and how she said YES! Life is always full of surprises and LOVE usually takes us by surprise; it comes unexpectedly, no orientation needed. I have been so blessed to witness so many couples’ stories of love for almost 10 years now. In line with GEMBSO’s 10th year anniversary in the wedding industry and the celebration of my birthday I would be delighted to share the blessings that I have been receiving; and my way to give back is by doing one thing I love the most the best way I know how.

I have decided to let a couple from ALDUB NATION to have the chance to Experience #AlagangGEMBSO – Alagang May PagmaMAJal.

I am praying that this project will be a success and I am also hoping that this campaign would reach the right people who deserves to win. It may not be in monetary form but rest assured that in every wedding I plan together with one of the best team I know, my GEMBSO Angels, I know that every detail will be properly taken care of and we treat each wedding as special as the couple’s love story.

Let’s all celebrate the month of LOVE with so much gratefulness, appreciation and joy.

Please don’t forget to share, repost, quote tweet and re-tweet. God bless us all.
